Historical Dwarka Nagari
The historical Dwarka nagari is situated on the bank of the holy river Gomti is located at okhamandal tehsil in jamnagar district of Gujarat state which is one of the holiest hindus’ pilgrimage place related to Lord Krishna.
The history of dwarika is 5000 years old. It is said that magadh emperor jarasangha attacked on yadavas every now and then & was battled due to his son-in-low Kansa was killed by Lord Krishna so he tortured them. So Lord Krishna thought to protect yadavas and wanted to sift them to a safe place at every way so that Jarasangha could not reach to them so that he decided to sift them to Kushasthali. He prayed to Samudradev to get away up to 12 yojans & by the help of lord vishwakarma built up the Dwarika Nagari. |
